How Much Does A Nurse Make?

Let put the question straight, how much do registered nurse earn annually or yearly? This should be the right way to ask this question, in a scenario of this nature we are going to make use of US statistic as case studies from the research done recently on the average pay check a nurse in yearly.

From the labor statistic and research data USA   conducted in 2009 it shows that a nurse earns about $63,750 annually which is $30.65 per hour when compare to what a regular house hold earning which is about  $35,000. Thus the range of difference is very high this account for why lots of people are wanting to go into the nursing profession.

Apart from that there are other benefits that goes along with the salaries such as access to free health care facilities, flexible work hours, and many others. But for you to become a reregistered nurse there are some criteria that needed to be meant, first you must have a degree and must have written the international certification exam for you to be granted a license as well as practice with some of  institution to gain experience.

Reasons For The Difference In Salaries Of Registered Nurses

Despise the competitive pay given to nurses yet there are still some that are receiving lesser than the annual amount, also others are receiving far above the average stipulated amount. There are reasons for this, the state and city in which an individual registered nurse practice matters, this has a great effect on the amount earned, for instance a nurse working in a highly populated cities in which cost of living is high will surly be paid higher salaries while nurse in a state or city with few people and the cost of living is low will as well earn low amount of income, yet their salaries is till on the rising and very competitive.

Another factor that is responsible in salary discrepancies among nurses is the years of experience, a nurse that have got so many years of experiences with higher qualifications and degree will defiantly earn much more than a nurse that is just starting.

One of the quickest ways to increase you pay or income as a nurse is to go for upgrading, that is go for advance medical or nursing course  as this will add more value to the degree you have already as well as increase in pay. As far as you are already a registered nurse it will only take you one to two years for an additional course to get to the advance stage or to get a masters in this field.
